There are just 11.2 miles between you and Siena. You may be tempted to take a taxi ride. But then, once you’ve smothered yourself in ‘Leonina’s’ weighty silence, you’ll probably just want to absorb the view from the unusual swimming pool and watch the sun slip behind the Siena towers.

Lucignano is a classic Tuscan hill top town and ‘Le Caselle’ sits just outside of the medieval centre. In a car, it is easy to miss this corner of the Val di Chiana Tuscany, thus it is somewhat quieter than its neighbours.
