he walled city of Montefalco sits atop an Umbria hill. Often referred to as the "Balcony of Umbria" its stone streets, narrow alleys and distinctive piazza make this one of the most attractive villages anywhere in Italy.

Hotel degli Affreschi sits a few meters from the main piazza of Montefalco, in a historic building along Corso Mameli.
The eleven bedrooms, all with a bathroom, colour TV, and telephone, offer guests a unique view of the Umbrian Valley and the cities of Assisi, Spello, Bevagna and Foligno.
The area is known for its red wine, called Sagrantino which is among the richest, most powerful of all Italian wines.
