As keen travellers ourselves, we fully understand how you, our guests, feel about this and it is against this backdrop that we have attempted to lay out the position regarding bookings and financials.

Inspired ITALY Ltd. is UK bonded tour operator and is bound by the UK Package Travel Regulations.

We believe these temporary terms and conditions are amongst the most flexible in the UK travel industry, and we hope they will give you the confidence, when you feel ready, to go ahead and book your next adventure with Inspired ITALY.

Whatever our legal obligations, Inspired ITALY places you, our guest, at the very centre of every decision and we place our reputation above financial matters.

Each and every case will be reviewed individually as there are so many variables it is nearly impossible to address all potential situations.

COVID Book with Confidence | What We Have Changed

 

REDUCED DEPOSIT: Effective 1st July 2020, we have reduced the required deposit to 20% (normally 30%)

FINAL BALANCE PAYMENT: Your final balance for your trip is due 30 days prior to the departure date (normally 56 days) and only when your trip is still scheduled.

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF INSPIRED ITALY CANNOT RUN MY TRIP? 

In the event that we are unable to run your trip because any of authorities listed below impose restrictions specifically due to the Covid-19 pandemic such that we cannot run your scheduled trip, you have the option to receive a full refund or a full credit against a future departure date and at no extra cost to be taken within two years of the credit date.

The authorities are …

  • Italian government
  • Dolomiti Superski (for Dolomite ski safari bookings)
  • The regional governments of SudTyrol/Trentino, Tuscany or Umbria.

WHAT IF I CANNOT TRAVEL?

UK Residents - as a UK tour operator we are bound by UK law. In the event that the British Government Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) declare an Exceptional Travel Advisory Notice due to COVID-19 where the FCDO advise ‘British nationals against all but essential international travel’, you have the option to receive a full refund or a full credit against a future departure date, at no extra cost to be taken within two years of the credit date.

NOTE: This does not apply to ‘regional or local lockdowns’.

 

Non-UK Residents - where your government prevents you from travel to Italy you will receive full credit against a future departure date at no extra cost to be taken within two years of the credit date.

Flights - in the event that your flight(s) is changed, cancelled or you unable to book viable flights, you will receive full credit against a future departure date at no extra cost to be taken within two years of the credit date.

In such circumstances, you need to produce evidence of your original flight booking, details of the cancellation/amendment and/or details of available flights.

 

NOTES

Generally, Inspired ITALY offers flexible free transfers/rebooking while Covid-19 continues to be an issue. However, there may be circumstances where a rebooking fee of £150 may apply.

Social distancing is not considered a ‘significant restriction’.

⛷ CAN I RE-BOOK FOR NEXT SKI SEASON?

Yes, absolutely. As the ski season approaches and you are booked on a 2021 Dolomites Ski Safari the need to plan your travel and book flights becomes a greater concern, you may feel a little intimated by the current circumstance.

If you prefer, then you can roll your booking forward to 2022 (and some have done so already). Go to our Ski Safari webpages and check on the schedule for 2022 and contact us. There is no financial penalty and the full value of your deposit is rolled forward.

** IMPORTANT UPDATE 12|10|2020 **

 

ENTRY TO ITALY

 

On Thursday 15th October 2020 the Italian government updated the requirements for entry into Italy. This has a particular effect on guests travelling from the UK to Italy.

The key paragraphs are as follows:

“Travelling to/from EU countries without the need for a specific motivation, therefore also for TOURISM purposes, is allowed, without the obligation of isolation upon return to Italy. The obligation to fill in a self-declaration remains.

Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Spain: those who enter/return to Italy from these countries (after a stay or even only transit in the 14 days prior to entering Italy), in addition to completing a self-declaration, must also:

a) present a statement that they have undergone a molecular or antigenic test carried out by means of a swab and a negative result within 72 hours before entering the national territory.”

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR MY DOLOMITES SKI SAFARI?

As a result of the latest changes to the Italian government regulations for entry, in order to take part in your Inspired ITALY Dolomites Ski Safari, you are required to provide confirmation that you have had a molecular or antigenic test (PCR) carried out by means of a swab showing a negative result and which has been carried out 72 hours prior to your arrival.

Due to the time constraints and logistics of the Dolomites Ski Safari, you cannot use the rapid testing at airports or PCR tests carried out after your arrival.

 

CAN I GET A TEST AT THE AIRPORT FOR ENTRY?

No. The rapid test does not qualify for entry. You MUST HAVE A NEGATIVE PCR TEST as described above. The rapid tests do not qualify.
